It’s JUNE 2019.
As in CAN YOU BELIEVE that half the year has already gone?? I made a conscious decision that I would be mindful of how I spend my time and what I do to help me accomplish my goals for the rest of the year. The last thing that I want is for 2019 to be over, and then I’m stuck asking myself the horrible question: What did I actually do this year?
Oh the holidays are finally here again and it’s by far my favorite (clichéd) time of the year. I love seeing all the lights and big Christmas trees all around, the smell of sugar cookies baking in the oven, Netflix binge watching all the ph so perfect happily ever after holiday movies and ugh. Everything basically about the holidays.

This is also the time of year when everyone asks “what do you want for Christmas” and you suddenly go blank, or you’re stuck here wondering what the heck to give your friends and family. I have been super into journaling recently because I have 1 million things always spinning in my head and that can get really overwhelming at most times. The reason why I gravitate to journaling is because I can be raw, open and honest with myself, and I can freely express myself in a non-judgmental way. It also gives me so much mental clarity and I love gaining a new perspective once I write down all of my thoughts, and really get into the real issue and not just a surface level feeling.

I’ve been on a serious revamp with the way that I eat, and I’m really making an effort to eat more wholesome, healthy and most importantly- home cooked meals. I think it’s probably because I’ve started a Sunday ritual of buying a ton of fruits and vegetables from a new market that I’ve found. And speaking about shopping, I prefer going to a market vs the grocery because I really want to buy more local produce and practicing eating what’s in season. I also found that I get SO much more produce at a much cheaper price than at the grocery, and the freshness of the things that I get, is SO noticeable. I dunno- once your go market you can never go back? #LOL
