Taking a Mini Social Media Detox

Being on social media 24/7 for the last few years of my life, has been amazing. I’ve had so many amazing opportunities, gotten to work with brands I never thought I would be able to work it, travelled and of course, my fave & most worth it part- meeting & talking to amazing readers & viewers. Even if you’re not a blogger/YouTuber, you have to admit that social media has its perks. I am truly grateful. But as with everything else, there’s a dark side that most people never get to see.

#BossBabe: Interview with Amberlei (Amberallurecupcakes)

For ages now, I wanted a series on my blog that was different from something that I ever did before. Then it hit me. I love hearing stories about inspiring, kick-ass, strong women and how they slay at life. That’s where the idea of a #BossBabes series came about. My First Trinidad & Tobago Carnival Experience & TIPS

Play mas in Trinidad & Tobago’s Carnival: check. 

This year, I got the opportunity to work with Passion Carnival to have a full on Carnival experience. I had no idea what to expect on the road for Carnival Monday & Tuesday but I was definitely up for experiencing what they call “the greatest show on earth”. How to be More Organized-Do’s & Dont’s

Organization and being organized is something that I always struggled with. I’m the kinda gal who’s really organized on paper but in real life (hello #planneraddict), my desk is mess and things are ALL over the place. I can tell you everything you need to know about planning 101 and how to use a planner and get everything done. But when it comes to keeping my vanity clean for ONE day- it’s a disaster. Like honestly when you’re beating your face, how tf are you supposed to put everything back as you use it. Am I right or am I right? 

I finally came to the conclusion that I just need to put certain things into practice in order for me to actually be more organized in life – not just in my mind or my planner.

Sexy Red Valentine’s Day Sugar Cookies

I love anything red and with a hint of spice- especially for Valentine’s Day. These sugar cookies are a perfect yummy treat because it’s so simple to make. I’m sure you have a sugar cookie recipe that you use already. So the secret is to just add a few drops of (drum roll please) red food colouring to give you a marbled effect or a sexy red colour throughout the cookie. My next big secret is to add a sprinkle of cinnamon & nutmeg to any recipe you have. It instantly kicks everything up a notch and trust me, everyone enjoys that unexpected surprise.
