Casual Summer Chic | Fashion Diaries

Hey loves!

So in my last fashion post, my go-to look for summer was dresses and I did wear quite a lot of them as you could probably see on my Instagram. But recently, I’ve been loving high waisted shorts and cropped tops for all the city adventures. But don’t worry it’s not the typical bootay-flaunting-denim-high-waisted shorts or the barely there cropped tops.

Instead, I’ve been crazy obsessed with cute flowy shorts and decent length fitted cropped tops. My style is a lot covered up but I don’t mind showing a little skin. Hence I love this outfit so much!

Tropical Shorts Obsesh

The perks of living in the Caribbean is that you can rock pretty much summery clothes all throughout the year. Like these shorts from Choies which are now one of my fave pieces from my closet. And guess the price.

It’s only $9.9o I kid you not. Like seriously? Who could even resist that!?

It’s elastic so it’s such an easy fit and the colours- can we even? It’s like watercolor perfection. I love the way it fits and it’s definitely flattering to any body type.

What really makes me crazy about it though is the balls- get your mind out of the gutter! The pom poms that are attached on the additional bit of fabric is actually my fave detail of this entire outfit.

I paired it with a simple white crop top that was tight fitting since wearing any flowy tops would make the outfit look hung down on me. I like this sleeveless one ($5.80) and this cut out one ($17.80)- both from Forever 21.

I think keeping it fitted on the top really brings out the beauty of the shorts

I love how my mint green floral necklace from the one and only Charming Charlie looked paired with the rest of my outfit. I can’t find a similar one on the site but I know that BaubleBar has an almost identical one but for way more.

Need I mention that all of my jewelry in general is from Charming Charlie? I just love that store! Personally, I don’t fancy a huge selection of jewelry so I stick to a few key pieces which I pair with almost all my outfits.

The pom poms are draped along extra fabric that’s on either side of the shorts.

Because this was casual look, I paired it with these white sandals from Easy Spirit.

What I love about this shorts is that it’s perfect if you wanna dress it up or just be casual so I would definitely pair this with some wedges or heels when I feel more fancy.

Google Toronto YouTube- Fashion Diary

Hello my loves! I had an amazing opportunity today to be able to go to Google Toronto thanks to an invite from YouTube. Yes, even I am unbelieved but there I was in gorgeous Toronto- at Google.Here’s my outfit- I went for a chic savvy look.

I love the delicate lace detailing on this chiffon blouse as well as the pop of black to the collar as well. It was a gorgeous contrast against the leatherette skirt.

I’m in love with this beautiful skirt and the scalloped edges and cutouts.

Charming Charlie has easily become ~~one of~~ my favourite accessory stores ever. I’ll definitely be keeping up with Charlie in the future.

And this beauty is no stranger to you. My MK was the only bag I had with me in Toronto but it fits perfectly with the chic-savvy-look I was all about.

City Island NYC – Outfit
